Ruth and Mark have a love for one another that is just precious.  And being that they are so giddy in love, it was a delight to work with them on their wedding day!  I just LOVE photographing people in love… {sigh}

They got married on the Queen Mary in Long Beach.  Since Mark is British, it seemed like the perfect venue for them.  I thought is was great because of all of the amazing places we found to shoot!  Amanda was a fantastic second shooter at this wedding.  She will share her photos in a bit.  And Robby, my new assistant, got some great shots too.  Hope to get those on the blog so you can meet him soon!

I love San Diego and I love this new couple of mine!  Becky and Tristan are the cutest things ever!  Amanda and I drove down there to spend the afternoon with them at Balboa Park (I have been dying for a reason to shoot down there!) and we had such a great time.  Shooting in Balboa Park was amazing!  But the real treat was when Tristan invited us to meet his mom at his house!  Her hospitality and charming spirit was overwhelming.  With appetizers and white wine laid out for us, we relished in her company.  I know I say this a ton, but I have to say it again… It truly is an honor to get to know the couples we photograph and to meet their families.  It is like we get to be a part of their family for a brief moment in time and that means the world to us!

Normally, I don’t advertise that I do infant shoots…  Mostly because babies are SO hard to photograph!  But I just can’t resist sharing a few of Sophia.  She is precious!  The only thing I love about doing infant sessions is the change to hold a newborn!  Other than that, they are hard to pose and won’t go to sleep when you tell them to…  LOL I really admire the photographers out there that get amazing baby portraits.  I think I will stick with weddings!

Anyway…  Meet Baby Sophia born to Nikki and Tony.  They are such a sweet couple!  And Sophia is so adorable you just want to nibble on her!

Alia and Brad are one of my favorite couples!!!  They first won me over when we did their engagement session in Las Vegas!  That photo shoot was such a blast…  And their wedding at Tivoli Terrance was amazing!  (Click here to see that post) On their wedding, we had planned to do some pictures of the bridal party at the beach.  However, when we got down to the ocean at the Surf and Sand Resort, it was high tide.  We had no way to access the beach from the hotel.  Alia was SO disappointed.  I suggested that we do a Trash the Dress session to cheer her up.  Here are a few pictures from our session down in Laguna at their favorite beach!  Enjoy!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this wedding!  Outdoor receptions are so fun to photograph and Laura and Hanam’s wedding venue was the perfect backdrop!  Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula is a darling place to have a wedding.  I can’t wait to take pictures there again some day…

When Laura started planning her wedding, she envisioned a rustic yet elegant affair.  I think she pulled it off perfectly!  The cupcake table was adorable and showed off this delicious dessert in a fun and colorful way.  She looked amazing and I loved the colors she used to tie everything together.  The different shades of purple looked great against the lush country-like venue.  Did I mention that we had plenty of time for photos, too?!?

Laura and Hanam are such a sweet couple and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them on their wedding day.  This is definitely one of my favorite weddings this year!

Kristina and Chris are truly the nicest people I have ever worked with!!!  Amanda and I had such a great time photographing their engagement session AND their wedding!  They are the perfect couple…  And they had a beautiful wedding at Verandas in Manhatten Beach last month.  Kristina wasn’t too keen on seeing Chris before the wedding, but we had to arrange a first glance in order to photograph everything in a timely manner.  Later she told me that it was one of her favorite parts of the day.  I just love it when we (Amanda and I) get to help create special moments for the bride and groom!!!  It is such an honor to play such an intimate part in each wedding story…

When Chrissy told me that she was having her wedding in downtown Redlands and it would be full of mason jars and buttons, I was super excited to met her!   Once we met, we hit it off instantly!  She is so sweet and fun.  Because they live up north, I didn’t get to meet Aaron until the engagement session.  He is such a doll, too!  (I don’t know if I am allowed to call a guy a “doll”…  What I mean to say is that he is cool and funny!)  Anyway…  We had a great time in Claremont for their engagement session.  We just love shooting down there!  We ended the session at In-N-Out because that is where they first met.

This was such a great shoot and I had a great time spending the afternoon with Megann and Hector.  Not only were are they super sweet to work with, they are oh so cool.  Hector is in a band and so to shoot where he has played gave me a whole new perspective on downtown Pomona.  I was thrilled he brought his guitar and was willing to play as Megann danced around!  Megann looked amazing and I just loved the dress and heels against the grungy background.  I can’t wait for their wedding next month!

I absolutely loved shooting at Lacma (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and was thrilled that Lisa and Walen wanted to use this super cool museum for their engagement shoot.  I loved all the pops of red, the modern design, and of course all the light post at dark.  I was so glad to have April with me so she could help with all the lighting!  Shooting in the dark is not something we do every shoot and really requires an extra set of hands – so thanks April for your help!!!  Lisa also wanted to incorporate the beach in their shoot so we headed to Santa Monica Pier for some romantic beach shots.  I just loved all their images and can’t wait for their wedding this fall!
